All classes are held in a dedicated yoga room with a wooden floor. In autumn and winter a fire is lit in the log burner and in summer when it is dry and sunny there is the option of having part of the yoga class outside in the garden.
There are up to eight people in a class, which allows plenty of individual attention. Please check beforehand which of the classes would suit you best.
Each class comprises an initial centring period linking into the body, asana ( postures), pranayama (breathwork), Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation) and depending on the level or theme sometimes meditation.
There is a theme for two to four weeks, going progressively deeper. In this way you can not only get familiar with the practices but are, if you like, able to use them in your own home practice. From time to time there are courses or workshops to go deeper into certain aspects.
Meditation classes consist of two parts: Yoga Nidra and Meditation.
Each term two or three different concentration techniques will be introduced.
Cushions, meditation stools, blocks and chairs available to help comfortable sitting positions.
The first class is free.
After that you commit for a term. Yoga classes are one and a half hour and Meditation classes an hour long and £8 per class payable at the beginning of term. If you join in the middle of the term pro rata rates apply. Please contact me for availability.
Individual classes allow you to work with a particular area, fit in with job or family commitments or perhaps develop your own home practice. What you need and when you need it. You can choose from: 1 hour £30 or 1.5 hours £45.
